Spring Encaustic Workshop at LoneStar College, CyFair

Hayes Parker: Bowl with paper, plaster cloth, encaustic, powdered graphite.  This piece was cast in sand.
Last day of the Spring Encaustic workshop at LoneStar College, CyFair was Saturday. We were all sad to see it end and everyone was wanting more days added on to the 6 weeks course.  (six Saturdays) Below are photos of some of the works produced the participants. Keep in mind that even though this is an introductory level class, several of the participants have experience with encaustics beyond this workshop. All are artists working in other media.  One of the students has a studio set up for wax at home so some of his pieces were made outside of class during this 6 weeks.
Take a look.  Congratulations to each of them. Great work!
